Why the Film Tax Credit Will Fail

Hate to say, ‘I told you so’, but....

A local Cleveland nonprofit put together a study on the new tax credit for feature films that the state of Ohio is awarding to Hollywood companies. As predicted, the outlook is not good. Or so says this article from the Dispatch, a paper that does not drink Ivan Schwartz’s kool-aide like the Plain Dealer

There is a silver lining in the tax incentive, though. Shortly before her weird dismissal, former Ohio Film Office director Christina Grozik fought for the change in the incentive which require local crew to be involved in the project.
