Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, May 1. It is as awesome as it sounds. Free comics, people. Free effing comics. Carol & John’s comic book shop in Kamm’s Plaza starts things off late Friday night, with a party from midnight- 2 a.m. Asian Action Star Kung Fu Bob DJ Larry Syms will be on hand. The Joker will be tending an open bar and is already busy infusing Tequila with jalapenos in some odd nefarious plan of his. Yes, I said Open Bar. The craziness continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7, as Carol and John go a step further than one free comic and offer a “take what you’d like, but only want you want” deal. First 200 people through the door get an Iron Man 2 War Machine Heroclix. Not sure what that is, but I bet it would look cool on my dash.
